VLAM… nice things of our own

The Flemish Agricultural and Fisheries Marketing Board – in short, VLAM – is the driving force behind the promotion of (local) products and services of the agricultural, gardening, fishing and agrofeed sectors. It is a B2B organization, but the general public knows VLAM mostly as a spokesperson for those sectors and for its campaigns such as ‘Tastes of our own’.

The short description of the assignment was: updating the Vlam.be website. The full description and criteria that are to be met put in an extensive call for tender. All Colors of Communication/Favorite! took part in the pitch and proposed – in collaboration with StoryChief – to take on the back end of the website, with an extra layer allowing the updates to the site to be made faster and managed more easily. You can always ask our account manager Daan for the technical details.

Our approach evidently made an impression, since we won the pitch over a number of large, renowned digital agencies.

That was step 1, now came the hard part: developing the entire website. VLAM had already built the wireframe, but we analysed it and challenged VLAM to rethink a number of things. That led to a fine interaction between the person in charge at VLAM and the team at All Colors of Communication/Favorite. Once that was ready, we developed the style for the website’s redesign. We also developed and redesigned the webshop where members can download campaign materials. We made it easier for the media by adding a search function per sector to the press releases.

The hands-on mentality of Favorite is why we chose that agency. To date, we are very happy with our fresh website and the quick handling of any problems.

The entire process went very smoothly, and we achieved all the deadlines. The integration with StoryChief also provided added value to this project. We are still following up on this project for certain adjustments (servicing, security updates, etc.).

the success of a story depends on what you do with it

Ultimately, it’s all about making the right choices. We are one of the few agencies in the Benelux to combine the strengths of PR, (digital) marketing, content and design inhouse. So we can translate the most complex issues into successful campaigns. That’s how we build a lasting brand reputation for your company.
